He waited for the right moment.

He had patience for learning.

He wasn't in any hurry for fame.

He was a bit afraid to rise onto the stage,

for the fear that instead of a rabbit,

he might accidentially pull a hare out of his top hat.

(And he didn't even own a tophat yet, just a worn out cap.)

When he then finally performed for an audience,

after decades of preparation,

he learnt the most important of lessons,

taught by a beautiful white rabbit

that never turned up:

Magic had never been about the rabbit.

it was about the courage to leap onto a stage,

about the flourish in the middle,

and about the bow at the end of a good show.

Taikuri

Taikuri odotti oikeaa hetkeä.

Hänellä oli kärsivällisyyttä opetteluun.

Ei hänellä ollut kiirettä maineeseen.

Häntä hieman arvelutti nousta lavalle, ihan vain siltä varalta, että kanin sijaan hän vahingossa vetäisisikin rusakon silinteristään.

Kun hän sitten viimein esiintyi yleisölle, vuosien valmistautumisen jälkeen, hän ymmärsi sen kaikkein tärkeimmän läksyn. Sen hänelle opetti kaunis valkea kaniini, joka ei koskaan pompannut ulos:

Magia ei ollutkaan kaniinissa, 

vaan rohkeudessa hypätä itse lavalle, 

esiintymisessä siinä keskellä 

ja näyttävässä kumarruksessa shown loputtua.
